Maskinfabrikken Silkeborg Spåntagning A/S (MSSP) was founded in 1989 by Paw Lyngaa and Eigil Bak. In recent years, our machining enterprise has become international. We are not only one of Denmark’s leading suppliers of metal work – we have our own machining factories in Denmark and Latvia.

MSSP Group, Maskinfabrikken Silkeborg Spåntagning A/S, is a Danish subcontractor specializing in precision metal machining. The company was founded in Silkeborg in 1989 and produces CNC-machined components for industries including wind energy, hydraulics, pumps and machine building. MSSP has production facilities in Denmark and Latvia and supplies made-to-order components with documented quality and on-time delivery worldwide.
Mechanical machining, also known as subtractive machining, is a manufacturing process in which raw materials such as steel, aluminium or brass are machined into precise components. This is typically done using CNC-controlled machines for turning, milling, drilling and cutting. CNC stands for Computer Numerical Control and makes it possible to produce consistent parts with high accuracy and tight tolerances.
MSSP works according to certified quality, environmental and occupational health and safety standards. The company is certified according to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018. MSSP also holds certification according to EN 1090-1:2009+A1:2011 in execution classes EXC2 and EXC4 for welded load-bearing steel structures with CE marking.
MSSP primarily supplies engineering companies, OEM manufacturers and industrial companies that need a certified subcontractor for ongoing production of metal components. Customers are found mainly within wind energy, hydraulics, pumps, cooling and water systems, and machine building. MSSP exports to a wide range of countries and works with both Danish and international industrial customers. Customers choose MSSP for its quality systems and delivery reliability.
Yes. MSSP produces order-based metal components from prototypes and single parts to ongoing series production. With production capacity in both Denmark and Latvia, more than 50 production machines and automated FMS systems, MSSP can scale production according to customer needs. All parts are produced with a focus on documentation, traceability, consistent quality and on-time delivery.
